The stocking is one of those projects that looks complicated but really isn't once you break it down. In two hours you'll learn how to cut from a pattern, sew a curved seam, and line a project so the inside looks just as good as the outside — skills you'll use on dozens of projects after this. I love that everyone walks out with something that goes straight on the mantle and gets pulled out every year. After thirty years of sewing, the holiday classes are still my favorites because you can feel the intention behind what people are making.
