What you'll leave with
A finished tote bag with handles you stitched on yourself — corners boxed out, seams clean, sturdy enough for grocery runs and farmer's market hauls. You'll also take home the pattern and detailed instructions so you can make more on your own. One class, real skills, a bag you'll actually use.
Why I love teaching this one
The tote is the class I send first-timers to. It's two hours, you walk out with something useful, and the skills you pick up here — straight seams, boxing the corners, sewing on handles that hold up — are the same ones you'll use on every bag, pillow, and pouch after this. We're sewing the viral Call Me By Your Name designer tote dupe (the original retails $350–$400). Same look, made by you, for $50. After thirty years of sewing, I still think a good tote is one of the most useful things a person can make.
