Memory Quilt Class Fresno — Part 2 | Stitch Perfect & Co

Memory Quilt Part 2 sewing class in Fresno — finished bound quilt made from meaningful garments at Stitch Perfect & Co

There’s something special about the second day of a memory quilt class in Fresno. By the time we meet again, the planning is done, the pieces are cut, and all those meaningful garments are ready to become something new.

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, we’ll gather for Memory Quilt Part 2. This class is the second half of the process, where students who completed Part 1 on October 17 return with their quilt pieces ready to assemble. This is the day everything starts coming together.

We’ll spend our time piecing the quilt top, arranging and sewing the sections together, and turning those individual pieces into a finished design. From there, I’ll guide you through adding the batting and backing, and we’ll finish by binding the edges so your quilt is complete and ready to use. Along the way, you’ll learn techniques that help your quilt lay flat, hold up over time, and showcase the garments in a way that feels thoughtful and balanced.

What to Expect at This Memory Quilt Class in Fresno

Most of the people who take this class are working with clothing that means something to them. Some are creating quilts from a loved one’s shirts after a loss. Others are finally opening the box of baby onesies they’ve been saving for years. I’ve worked with grandparents preserving family memories and couples gathering shirts from vacations, concerts, and years of adventures together. Every quilt tells a different story, and that’s what makes these classes so meaningful.

By the end of the day, you’ll walk out with a complete lap-sized memory quilt. The shirts hanging in a closet, the baby clothes packed in a storage box, the favorite blankie tucked away for safekeeping, or the travel shirts collected over decades will have a new purpose. Instead of sitting in a box, they’ll be stitched together into something you can display on a chair, fold across the foot of a bed, give as a gift, or keep close for yourself.

One of my favorite moments is watching students hold up their finished quilt for the first time. What began as a collection of individual garments becomes a piece that tells a story all its own.

If you completed Part 1 and are ready to finish your quilt, you can visit the class page for details and reserve your seat when you’re ready.
